Meet Allison Kern, AuD

Allison received both her undergraduate degree and her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN). While in school she spent time researching how patients with hearing loss understand speech in noise and how to implement this into hearing aid technology. She also developed a passion for mission-related audiology, spending two weeks a year in remote villages of Nicaragua distributing audiological care and teaching sign language to the remote Deaf community. Allison currently holds a membership of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She currently practices in our Morehead City and Cape Carteret locations. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two fur-children and exploring their new home of Beaufort.
